About Stephen W. Long

Stephen W. Long is the author of A Death in Felicity, a crime novel set along the Oregon coast. His work centers on character-driven stories that explore the consequences of choice, the weight of personal history, and the quiet tensions that shape small communities.

Drawing on the landscapes and people of the Pacific Northwest, Long’s fiction blends atmospheric settings with grounded, realistic investigations.

He is a recipient of an Elizabeth George Foundation grant, which supported the development of his first novel, There’s a Somebody. His work has been recognized by Chaffey College and Mount San Antonio College, and he is a multiple-time winner of the Paper Gardens writing contest in both prose and free verse.

Long is the author of three books—There’s a Somebody, All Hat, and A Death in Felicity—and his work appeared in the anthology Prism.

He lives and writes in Oregon.
